Apparently the new women’s professional soccer league (WPS) starts up in the near future. Who knew?
Recently the teams unveiled their uniforms. One of the teams got it so right.
The short-lived Chicago flag third jerseys that the Fire sported in 2005 are, I would suspect, the most well received American soccer jerseys ever. Incorporating the Chicago flag into the jersey identifies the team with the city of Chicago in a way that nothing short of an actual history in the city can do.
Congrats to the Red Stars.
Unfortunately, a couple of other WPS teams get their uniforms so wrong.
Seriously? Skorts?
Still, I suppose skorts are slightly better than the man-itards sported by Cameroon a few years ago.
I don’t think they are that bad. Gives it a ‘girly’ touch.
Chicago is pretty nice. skorts…terrible.
